It was a busy week at Rice and Bread Magazine, which is to be expected, since it was our first ever week.
Here’s a recap of what went down:

John Wright’s Punk Rauch
We started the week with a Food Conversation featuring John Wright of Nomeansno and the Hanson Brothers, who told us about his new craft beer, Punk Rauch.
Then Young Widows vocalist/guitarist Evan Patterson took us on a tour of Louisville, Kentucky’s southern food in our regular Hometown Scene feature.
Meanwhile, contributor Blake Morneau recounted the recent intimate performance in Victoria, BC by Dan Bejar a.k.a. Destroyer.
Our first day on the interwebs was a busy one as we also premiered the new album by Winnipeg slow-core outfit Slow Dancers.
