Dikembe
Fest co-organizer Sarah Goodwin is quick to admit that she doesn’t get to see as many bands as she would like to at Fest each year. But when it comes time for Goodwin to get out from behind her pile of organizer-type emails and into the punk rock fray, there are a few key bands she hopes to see this year at Fest 14.
1. Great Cynics
“I am really excited for Great Cynics to come back. They weren’t at Fest last year, but they’ve come a couple of times before and I really like their new record a bunch. It’s pretty much the only thing I’ve been listening to recently. They are from London, England and they sound… it’s poppy, they’re a trio, and I don’t know what to compare them to. [Laughs] I haven’t written the Fest guidebook yet!”
2. Dikembe
“I am always happy to see Dikembe at Fest, but I feel funny including them because I live with their bass player. But I love seeing them play in Gainesville at a huge venue with a huge crowd of all of these people. I’m always really excited for them to play Fest, and I’ve seen them a million times. Their new 7-inch is really great; there are tons of copies in my house right now, so people should buy it.”
3. WOAHNOWS
“They haven’t been confirmed yet, but WOAHNOWS are a duo from somewhere in the south of England, I want to say. Sorry to have to make you do some research. They recently hopped onto a Lemuria tour, and they’re just a fun band.”
4. Timeshares and Broadcaster and Sundials
“These three bands are my Fest staples. I love Timeshares and I love Broadcaster. I feel like I’ve been listening to the same stuff for the last five years. [Laughs] And Sundials is that other band I love seeing. I feel like [Fest founder] Tony [Weinbender] makes the mystery band slots just for me sometimes, because last year he put Sundials at Palomino on the Sunday. And Sunday is my freest day to hang during Fest, because the wheels are already in motion by that point. Sundials, Broadcaster and Timeshares could all be like one entry. I love all of them!”
5. Black Tower
“Oh, if I can add another one. Black Tower are a couple of people from Crusades and they are so metal! I love it! They are pretty great.”
Fest takes place in Gainesville, Florida on October 30-November 1, 2015. Pre-Fest 3 in Little Ybor, Tampa takes place October 29-30, 2015.

This is a terrible list of bands. If you spend 190$ to see this garbage, you’re a joke.
