The dynamic ebb and flow of San Angelus is back with the trio’s first recording featuring a revamped lineup, and Rice and Bread Magazine is streaming it exclusively.
The three-song 7″ from the British Columbia/Los Angeles group, curiously entitled uuüuu, is out now on The Mylene Sheath.
Featuring Pelican drummer Larry Herweg, ex-Sparkmarker vocalist/guitarist Kim Kinikan and Red Vienna bassist/vocalist Jahmeel Russell, San Angelus don’t stray far from the members’ other projects, which in this case is a very, very good thing.
The first recording with Russell on bass, these three songs serve as solid followup to last year’s full-length, Soon We’ll All Be Ghosts, which came out on Kinikan’s own Amber & Wool Music. The tracks were mixed by former ISIS drummer Aaron Harris and mastered by ex-These Arms Are Snakes drummer Chris Common.
