Andrew Jackson Jihad drummer pairs craft beers with punk and metal

Inspired by Adem Tepedelen’s beer and heavy metal pairings last month, Andrew Jackson Jihad drummer Deacon Batchelor sent us his own beer and music pairings. It looks like we have a lot of drinking and listening to do!

Beer: Crooked Stave Ryan and the Gosling - Evil Twin Brewery

Album: Pulley’s Esteem Driven Engine

Why they go together best: This American Pale Ale is perfect for this album. Both are light, hoppy, straightforward and dry. Both melodically scream, “Enjoy me!” and, “CHUG!” The album and beer are loveable in so many ways, just like Ryan Gosling! In fact, you would have to be a real dickhead if you didn’t finish this album or this beer. This chugger-naut of a brew should be enjoyed while singing along with your best bros, fist-pumping until your elbows are dislocated.
