You know it’s summer when we’ve got more and more music festival coverage. This week we brought everything from Victoria Jazzfest, to a new wine festival, to a Conversation with The Fest founder Tony Weinbender.

The week started off with our Conversation with Silver Snakes’ vegan vocalist/guitarist Alex Estrada, where we talked with him about vegan food on the road. With the Victoria Jazzfest 2014 entertaining music fans of all kinds, our contributor Blake Morneau brought us some of the highlights from the event.

On Tuesday we featured video of Eating Words with Touché Amoré vocalist Jeremy Bolm.

Wednesday was a big day with our Feed the Scene feature with Rachel Taft, a story that got a lot of attention from music and food lovers alike. We also featured the announcement of another exciting new festival in Victoria, the Victoria Wine Festival.

Even though the week was starting to wind down, we brought you a Hometown Scene of Phoenix, AZ., with Andrew Jackson Jihad drummer Deacon Batchelor. Also, Washington, DC hardcore fans got a glimpse at some of D.C.’s under appreciated hardcore bands from contributor Mike Seale.

Friday we posted a second dose of Eating Words, this time with Hamilton, Ontario’s B.A. Johnston. And more music festival-related content in the form of a Conversation with The Fest founder Tony Weinbender.

We’ve got more tasty and musical coverage for you next week, but for now crack a beer and put the needle down on a great album.
