FK MT. (or, as we like to call them, Fuck Mountain, because we hate band names without vowels in them) are a throwback grunge band from Columbia, SC. Some refer them to as “stoner pop,” but that really doesn’t do them enough justice: this was a band raised on Dinosaur Jr., early Nirvana and perhaps even some Silverchair. Yes, Silverchair! But, wait, what is that we see in their band photo?
It looks like one of these born-in-the-’90s ragamuffins is wearing a fucking Unwound shirt! Could it be? Does the future generation of punk rockers really remember Olympia’s pride and joy, Unwound?
And… we are sold. Check out “Feeling of Knowing” from Fuck Mountain’s upcoming EP, Fertilizer, due out October 23 on Genius Factory, digital and CD formatting. Did we mention it will be released on cassette as well? That’s pretty dope.
