Yeah, we’ve all heard by now about how some lunkheads on the internet made fun of Olympia queer-core band G.L.O.S.S.
Fuck that shit.
We’re here to tell you that this band, who are probably being exposed to more people now than ever thanks to those very same lunkheads, is one the most important bands in punk right now. Why? Well, first and foremost, because they rule so hard, in the way that Born Against, Bikini Kill, Mukilteo Fairies, Huggy Bear, Behead the Prophet No Lord Shall Live and XLimp WristX ruled before them (you’ll definitely want to check out those bands if you haven’t already).
And what way is that? In a totally non-apologetic, kick-ass way. In the way that hardcore was meant to be: pissed, fun, loud, frustrated, powerful and full of rallying cries.
But, secondly, and perhaps more importantly, this band proves that you can’t just go around and talk shit about people on the internet without repercussions. The outcry of support within the punk scene for G.L.O.S.S. after they were cyber-bullied was downright inspiring.
So we’re here to add to that support network. We’ve got your backs, G.L.O.S.S., and thanks for ruling so damn hard.
