Fifth annual GWAR B-Q in Richmond, VA celebrates legacy of Dave Brockie

On August 13, 2014

It will be a bittersweet event this year in the wake of frontman Dave Brockie’s passing, but the man better known as Oderus Urungus of heavy metal maniacs GWAR will be celebrated at the fifth annual GWAR B-Q this Saturday, August 16 in Richmond, VA.

Featuring a filthy slew of bands, beers and BBQ, the annual event will no doubt feature many tributes to the fallen GWAR leader, who passed away in March.

This year’s band lineup includes Body Count, Hatebreed, Goatwhore, Iron Reagan and more, and the food lineup is Richmond dining debauchery at its very best. Not to mention a host of breweries on site.

Jello Biafra and Randy Blythe of Lamb of God will preside over a Brockie/Urungus memorial during the festival.

Cheers to those attending the GWAR B-Q this weekend in Richmond and RIP Dave Brockie/Oderus Urungus.

The 2014 edition of the GWAR B-Q takes place at Hadad’s Lake in Richmond, VA.
