Eating backstage: Photographer Henry Hargreaves captures band riders

On August 5, 2014

We’ve all seen some band’s strange hospitality riders posted online, but words really don’t seem to do them justice. Thank god for photographer Henry Hargreaves, who took artists’ riders and brought them to life. Britney Spear’s request for McDonald’s cheeseburgers without buns and Nine Inch Nails’ two bags of cornstarch are included in the collection.

Similar in style to Hargreaves’ previous collection called No Seconds, which captured the last meal requests of death-row inmates, the band-rider images give us a window into the personalities of some of the biggest celebrities.
