Adem Tepedelen
Some of you Rice and Bread keeners may remember the name Adem Tepedelen from his Perfect Pairings contribution for us, in which he paired really good beers with really good metal bands.
Well, the author of The Brewtal Truth Guide to Extreme Beers: An All-Excess Pass to Brewings Outer Limits has recently been holding events called Extreme Beer at the Beast at Victoria, BC speciality meats shop The Whole Beast.
So far Tepedelen has done two of the extreme meat and beer pairing nights in Victoria and they have both sold out. The latest event, taking place on April 30, pairs 10 extreme Belgian and Belgian-style beers with copious of amounts of meat from artisan butchers The Whole Beast and Village Butcher.
This sounds like the kind of night that the Rice and Bread team would love to hit up next time we’re in Victoria.
If only we could get Chef John Hurkes out from Minneapolis. He’d be all over something like this!
