Add spice with Nelson Brewing Company’s Ginger Beer

The best thing to come out of this whole craft beer renaissance is the much-deserved recognition for so many breweries. One that you’ve likely seen on a liquor store shelf but have perhaps bypassed (and you should reconsider that) is Nelson Brewing Company. NBC, as it’s know by residents of the Kootenays, recently put out a beer I am really excited about; their organic ginger beer. NBC do a lot of beautiful classics and many of their beers have earned them awards, but it’s their more creative offerings that are making waves. The greatest thing about this ginger beer isn’t just that it tastes beautiful all on its own. You can even use it like you would any other ginger beer and create a tasty drink like a Dark and Stormy by adding 2 oz. of dark spiced rum, a can of NBC ginger beer, a squeeze of lime and a little pear juice. So get out the sunglasses and a frosty glass and pour yourself a drink.
