Picking your hypothetical final meal is never a light decision to make, as The Jazz June‘s drummer Justin Max recently found out. In the end, Max went with something tried and true to his hometown.
Max: Oh, that’s a tough one, man. I feel like it has got to be a comfort food. I don’t want to go too high-brow with this.
Remember, you can have anything you want, and you can have as much of it as you want…
You know what, it’s not anything that’s going to blow your mind, but it’s of my home and where I’m from, and it’s always good… I would totally have a cheesesteak from Jim’s Steaks in Philly, and a beer. That’s all I would need, and then I could walk out peacefully.
What kind of beer? Because if you don’t specify, they’re just going to bring you a boring Budweiser or something.
Well, let’s see… dude, you’re giving me some really critical choices to make right now. I’ve got the Philly cheesesteak… um, yep, okay… I would probably go with a Heady Topper from Alchemist Brewery. It’s a crazy good double IPA from Vermont. My parents live up in Vermont and it’s incredibly tough to get, and it’s insanely good. So, a Heady Topper from Alchemist with a Philly cheese steak, with provolone and fried onions, and that would be perfect.
We can do that for you. Anything for dessert?
If I get a dessert, and I swear to you that I’m not trying to get points with the wife, but my wife’s blueberry pie is phenomenal. So some of her awesome blueberry pie.
