Death Row Dinner 0

Crowbar’s Kirk Windstein stays close to home

If Kirk Windstein, the leader of legendary sludge metal band Crowbar, had to choose one last meal, it would be his wife’s chicken and sausage gumbo.

Have you thought about your Death Row Dinner before?
Um, I’ve never wanted to think about it, actually [laughs]. But if I had to, I would probably say my wife’s chicken and sausage gumbo would be my last meal. It’s just totally made from scratch, spicy as hell, and just delicious. She slow cooks it all day and it’s fucking full of chicken, full of meat, and it’s just great.

And you could die happy on that?
Oh yeah, if it had to be my last meal I guess that would work.

-Jason Schreurs
